Rick Gottlieb

Most people have a hard enough time learning to play guitar in standard tuning, but Rick likes a challenge. So, his standard tuning is DADGAD. Detecting this tuning is remarkable and Rick is a master of it. Ricks original music transcends the Celtic roots of the tunings that he plays in, to achieve something rare in music today: genuine originality. Rick has been playing guitar since the age of 5 and holds an undergraduate degree in voice and performance from SUNY-Binghamton where he met his spouse, Cheryl (also a music major). He lives in Hopkinton, Massachusetts.

What’s your music like?

He plays guitar like David Wilcox and sounds a lot like James Taylor.
